D2 Editor
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 27, 2026
D2 Editor does not collect personal data. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Your diagrams are rendered and stored on your device.
This policy explains how the D2 Editor app ("the app"), made by Dreammobo Limited ("we", "us"), handles information. It applies to the app on iPhone, iPad and Android.
Information the app stores on your device
- Your diagrams: the D2 source you write or import, project names, and preview images. These are saved in the app's private storage on your device.
- Your preferences: settings such as the layout engine, diagram theme, code font size and auto-compile. These are saved on your device.
We cannot see or access any of this information.
Diagram rendering
Diagrams are compiled and drawn by a D2 engine bundled inside the app. Your code is not sent to us or to any third party to be rendered.
iCloud sync
If you turn on iCloud sync, your diagrams are stored in your iCloud Drive and synced by Apple across devices signed in with your Apple ID. Apple handles this data under Apple's Privacy Policy. We cannot access your iCloud data. You can turn sync off in the app's settings at any time.
Importing and sharing files
The app only opens files you choose to import. When you export a diagram, it is handed to your device's share sheet and sent only to the destination you pick. We do not receive a copy.
Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use them only to reply to you and do not share them.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
You can delete any diagram from within the app. Uninstalling the app removes all diagrams and settings stored on your device. Diagrams in iCloud Drive can be managed in your device's iCloud settings.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
